ABOUT US

our ICF HOME SERVICES built for life in the ozarks

ICF CUSTOM Homes

With our full-service custom home builds, our team manages the entire construction process from the ground up. Every home begins with a seamless monopour footing that creates a strong and stable foundation. We fortify the concrete with waterproof additives for long-term protection and durability. Built with insulated concrete forms, these homes deliver superior energy efficiency, year-round comfort, and proven resilience against severe weather.

ICF Dry-in legacy system

Our Legacy System, also known as a dry-in, completes the structural elements of your home, giving you a energy-smart, storm-ready shell built to last. With custom-engineered roof trusses rated for 200 mph winds, a steel tie-down system that locks the walls to the foundation, and a standing-seam hidden-fastener steel roof, your home is engineered for strength, safety, and longevity.

ICF home additions

Expand your home with an ICF addition that delivers unmatched strength, energy efficiency, and lasting value. These additions integrate seamlessly with your existing structure while elevating comfort and resilience. Whether you’re creating more family space, opening up your layout, or designing a multi-generational home, an ICF home addition enhances the way you live today and secures your investment for the future.

ICF add-on services

Whether you’re building a full-service custom home, drying-in with the Legacy System, or expanding with an ICF home addition, we offer add-on options to take your build even further. From integrated safe rooms that provide ultimate protection to solar power systems that boost efficiency and sustainability, our ICF add-on services give you the opportunity to customize your home for maximum safety, comfort, and long-term performance.

WHY INSULATED CONCRETE FORMS?

ICF VS. STANDARD WOOD FRAME CONSTRUCTION

STRENGTH & SAFETY

ICF Construction

  • Our 6-inch ICF wall provides a 250 MPH wind resistance.
  • Our forms have a 3 hour burn rate.
  • ICF homes are water resistant.
  • ICF homes are impact resistant (up to 100 MPH).

Wood Frame Construction

  • Typical wood homes can perform well in winds up to 100 MPH.
  • A 2×4 has a burn rate of 3-5 minutes.
  • Wood-homes do not create an envelope tight seal, allowing water and air to get in easier.
  •  When a 2×4 travels at 100 MPH and hits a wood-frame wall, the plank completely penetrates through.

Sustainability & Energy Efficiency

ICF CONSTRUCTION

  • Our form webs are 100% recycled material.
  • The foam is 100% recyclable.
  • The R-value of our forms is R-24.
  • Our ICF walls have a performance R-value of 50.
  • No thermal bridging.
  • 2 layers of continuous insulation.

WOOD FRAME CONSTRUCTION

  • Wood-frame homes can be environmentally friendly.
  • A standard stud wall has an R-value of 14 to 19.
  • The wall assembly does not increase the efficiency.
  • Thermal bridging is present, allowing your indoor air to escape.

Frequently asked questions for icf construction

  • How weather resilient are your houses?

Our 6″ concrete core walls are engineered to endure wind speeds up to 250 MPH.

  • How much more efficient will my house be?

Our homes address all the thermal transfer issues, keeping your indoor environment consistent and comfortable without breaking the bank. Your ICF home can be up to 70% more energy efficient than a stick-built home.

  • I understand the walls will be strong; will the roof?

We work with a local truss manufacturer that engineers our roof trusses with a 200-mph wind rating. We install Simpson Ties, an embedded tie down truss fastening system, on the top of our walls to attach to the trusses to your roof.

  • I’ve heard of cold breaks in concrete foundations that allow cold and moisture to get in. Will that be an issue?

With our Mono-pour system, the line between the footing and wall (the cold break) that exists in standard ICF builds is no longer there. The footings and walls are poured at the same time creating a footer that keeps the elements out.

  • How do you finish the interior?

Finishing the interior of an ICF house is similar to traditional construction, allowing for drywall, plaster, or other finishes to be applied directly over the ICF blocks, which provide a solid, insulated surface. Click below to learn more about the interior finishing process of ICF.

    Interior Finish
  • I don’t want to drill into concrete every time I want to redecorate. How do I avoid that?

ICF has come a long way! With the construction of ICF walls, you can add any interior or exterior finish. This will allow you to choose an interior finish (such as drywall) that is much easier to redecorate!

  • Concrete is not that pretty. What is the outside of my house going to look like?

ICF homes are the storm resistant home of your dreams. It’s not all about the concrete. We take your big picture dream and add sturdiness to give you a beautiful, reliable home.

  • How much is all this safety and energy efficiency going to cost me?

Country wide Insulated Concrete Form construction costs 3%-10% more than your highest quality stick-built homes.

  • What area do you service?

We currently service a 125-mile radius from Springfield, MO for most projects, covering much of Southwest and Central Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

For our full custom home builds, we service a 50-mile radius from Springfield, MO.

If you're not sure if you fall within our service area, just send us a message or give us a call!
